We do not hear much about the uprisings and the battles fought because the Nazi's had control of the media at the time, but the Warsaw Ghetto stands out. It should never be said that the Jews went to their doom willingly; nor should there be any doubt that Jews, Poles, Slavs and other victims of the inhumanity of those years fought the power that was Nazi Germany. They were poorly armed, if armed at all, and they were suppressed as no other group before, but they fought. Most who perished in the camps were duped into going there under extremely convincing propaganda. Many others were forced under threat of death on the street, thinking they were going to labor for the regime rather than die almost immediately...it was a nightmare.

I agree w/you 100%, "Never Again", and that does not just go for the Jews, it should stand as a clarion call for all who are oppressed. It should also be noted that the American Jews were the first to stand up for Civil Rights during the 50's & 60's. I marched w/many a Jew for the Rights of minorities during the 60's; I stood, under great pressure from the government, with Jews while they fought for the Rights every man woman & child in this nation enjoy...many of them were survivors of the Holocaust.........And I'll do it again, any time, any place.
