CON.

Apparently what makes this confirmed is that the virus supposedly mutated in the child meaning if the father had the same mutated virus then he caught it off his son. Of course no mention of the possibility that it mutated in the bird they both caught it off...

So to believe their version - one family member caught it at work where she was around poultry. Then they had a banquet where that family member passed it on to the rest of the family - except the father of the chikd who instead caught it from the child after it mutated in the child.

Plausible I suppose. Of course also plausible is that the phrase "no known direct contact with sick birds" does not mean that they did not have multiple direct contatcs with sick bird - it just means they didn't KNOW it.

If you were walking through a park, sat on a bench, played "throw the stick" with a friendly dog etc etc - would you necessarily notice every piece of bird feces you might have come in contact with? Would you remember that days or weeks later while you or your family was dying?

Too damn convenient.
