I'm not sure that Rahm leaving will mean that Obama will stop capitulating to the conservadems before negotiations even begin, but it's a good start.

Maybe now when Obama is presented with a problem, the realm of possible solutions given to him won't be limited to conservative and far right wing nut-job conservative ideas. I doubt if anything actually progressive will ever come out of the Obama White House, but at least moderate solutions and policies will be considered.

Rahm leaving is the kind of change that gives me the audacity to hope again.
