. . . putting on an average of 20,000 miles per year gives a total of (200,000,000 * 20,000) 4,000,000,000,000 miles (that's 4 trillion miles). Then there are something like 20,000,000 private commercial vehicles that drive 100,000 to 200,000 miles each year for another 3,000,000,000,000 miles so that would generate a total of 7,000,000,000,000 at $0.001= $7.0 billion in tax revenues. How much do states collect now based on 6 to 8 cents per gallon? At 15 to 20 mpg that's about $0.0040 to $0.0054 per mile. She's cutting revenues by 75% to 80%
