He had just incurred a $715,000 fine from the FCC, so Clear Channel fired him despite his high ratings. So Stern joked that this was the only successful thing Bush has done, and the next day Stern gets the ax. So it's more about the FCC investigations post-Janet Jackson than Howard's Bush comments, although those aren't going to help. Shooting his mouth off at Bush may be Stern's Last Stand.
