he has no clue. which is probably a good thing, HS would be a nightmare if controlled by a maniac like Rumsfeld. It would turn into a Gestapo overnight.



Then again, Ridge's pathetic handling of "Homeland Security" has resulted in nothing more than a Clairol color chart.

Some weeks ago I remember dialing 411 and asking for the number for Homeland Security. They had no clue! No listing, no number, no address, no hotline.

Some front line in our "war on terror" - they can't even hire some schmo to answer the phone.

... perhaps this botching of security is on purpose, to allow an October Surprise and postpone the elections... for the preservation of democracy.

In fact, if they would postpone the elections, it will probably be done in just that sort of newspeak... a smirking Bush would appear and mumble: "We're postponing... uh, the elections... uh... to preserve freedom... to show the terrorists... uh, that freedom will not be effectualized... uh... by terra. Godblessmerica."
