couple who had been together for many years until one of them died. The surviving partner still grieves and has had a large portrait painted of his partner and has it hanging on his living room wall years later. Still gets a tear in his eye when speaking out him. I also know a lesbian couple who have been together for about five years now - at least as long as many straight marriages. At least the gay people I know are quite similar to the straight ones.

There is a gay couple living in my community now. I don't know them, but understand they've been together for quite some time. They are elderly.

There is a certain part of the gay community that enjoys prolific sex with many partners, but I think many straight men would do the same if they could find enough willing partners. It's a male thing more than a gay thing, at least that's my belief.
