Dean is not my guy, but

i've not made a public announcement on DU about who i prefer. i've made a little bit of noise about who i don't prefer, i guess--very little, as i'm not into the current voque of bashing (i'm not a bashing-basher either--i kind of expect flames to fly here. i'm just thrilled to be a part of the american public who can name the candidates for the dem nomination! ;-) )

anyway, as i said, i'm not in dean's camp, but i have a now voting age nephew who leans left, but doesn't really get into politics. probably, if i just told him to back a certain candidate, he would, because he generally trusts me to know what is going on. i saw him the other day, and told him he should check out dean, because alot of people his age seem to really like him. i did mention that dean was not my man (and i did tell him my preference.) he wrote down dean's name, and said he'd check it out.

i just think that being politcally involved is cool, and i'd love to see my nephew get involved in the importance of his role in our democracy. 'course, if he gets all on fire, i'll have to enumerate the merits of my guy, but even so, i would welcome the discussion.
