I think that this film was supposed to show that there was absolutely no difference between the original and the remake. They were frame by frame almost identical (inotherwords, why remake). I think it is pointing to the lack of innovation coming out of mainstream Hollywood today.

But, aesthetically, the effect is totally different than the intent. Aesthetically, it feels like we are watching the murder of 2 women, of 2 women in the shower morphing in and out of one another in an almost sexually explicit way. Then when the murder comes in, it 'feels' to me like a murder of two women naked in the shower: two screams, two bodies layered on top of one another.

I have a feeling that this is not the original intent of the creator, but being a lesbian, the clip is powerfully freaky and I really couldn't finish viewing it. That is not a dig at the movie clip at all, rather a testament to its power, I think.
