6. Distraction Out Of Desperation
I watched the entire Downing Street Memo forum in Congress last week. Thank you, C-SPAN! It was carried live, uncut and commercial-free. In addition to hearing the groundwork being laid for impeachment, the best part was the on the part of many US Representatives in attendance as well as the Gold Star Families not to let this story die.

That fact is what has KKKarl frightened. His evil genius manifests itself most effectively in his control of the press. That's why he arranged to have Bill Moyers' "NOW" news program cut in half to 30 minutes. It's much easier to control the news when only token coverage is given to complex stories.

Well, I'm sure that he saw the boxes upon boxes of petitions delivered by hand last week. 540,000+! He also knows that cracks are beginning to emerge in the Republican coalition. Stem cells are a done deal. Demanding a real exit strategy from Iraq may be a done deal.

KKKarl's despicable comments about 9/11 were a shot across the bow of the Democrats and the press. The message was in short, "If you want to try to impeach my guy and retake at least one house of Congress next year, make sure you realize that I'll burn down Washington before I let that happen."

Oh, yeah, back on 9/11 for a moment: everyone needs to visit this page:
