Yes it's bad PR for our troops to be seen in anti-Islam T-shirts.

I don't blame the soldiers though. They are not diplomats. They are trained to kill. Their commanders are trained to use whatever techniques will make them singleminded and confident that they are there to protect America and to unthinkingly do whatever it takes to protect each other. T-shirts help. Camaradie helps.

There's worse than these pictures. Listen to their cadences. One is titled "Napalm sticks to kids". They get taught that during training. Nobody at FoxNews is teaching that.

Don't blame the soldiers for being poor diplomats. Blame the politicians who mistakenly push the philosophy that Vietnam or Iraq were military missions with military solutions and somehow the diplomacy of soldiers handing out candy or building a school is part of a military/diplomatic solution.
