The RW Spin Machine is in full gear. Per SOP, as you said, they want the people to forget Bush's fuckuppery by getting them to focus on the "incompetent state officials" (save for the Republican governors, likely) and the "Hollywood hate speech that breaks the spirit of recovery efforts."

Another tactic that has already started:

"There will be a time to point fingers, analyze and cast blame, but now is not that time."
