The rich privileged class in America has declared and is fighting a class war on the poor and the middle class and it will get worse before it gets better. They are already waging a major battle in NOLA as I type this comment. There are wing-nuts saying we don't want poor black people to come back. Congress has come up a new term for draconian cuts to social programs calling them offsets. Gay and lesbian americans are seeing a new bigotry on the part of the christian right. It's not that far of a stretch to imagine the poor will get desperate enough to bear arms and defend their property against imminent domain developers who want to build new casinos.
Hell, they might even decide to take the french approach and bring back the guillotine. hey, it's retro!
