I know you've got to have something in place for competitive balance, but when your reward for one of the best is going to one of the worst teams, I don't blame a kid for trying to escape it if he can.

I know a guy who turned down an offer of an NFL contract simply because he didn't want to play for the team that owned his rights. We're not talking Manning's recognition level or star power, but still I respected the hell out of him for doing that.
