23. I am now, but it took a long time.
My given name is Laurie. I grew up in a small town where there were NO Laurie's - lots of Tammys and Kathys and Debbies and Terris, though. I had teachers who couldn't pronounce my name, and the big joke in my family was to count how many different ways my classmates misspelled my name on Valentine's Day. I totally hated my name and couldn't figure out where my parents came up with it. They said they didn't know, either.

So, I grew up, moved to a larger city, and suddenly my name is common! People can both spell and pronounce it! I meet other Lauries! Life is good!
