Whether or not they're regarded as good musicians by the congniscenti, my body relaxes and many of those below-noticing little pains and aches just go away when I listen. It's not a 'left brain' thing (unless that's where the beta waves are quiesced) - and I refuse to give in to pretension.

Some music I just regard as soul-healing, even if others may regard it with disdain. I refuse to use any music as cannon fodder for my disdain. If it helps the pain go away, I listen.
