Good to see someone else admit it!

You know what I never got about the whole Milli Vanilli thing is this... OK, if someone always thought their music sucked, from the beginning, before the "scandal", etc., that's one thing. I know there's a lot of people (probably plenty of people on DU) who felt/feel that way. But what I never got were the people who bought the album when it was big, presumably because they liked the music... and then decided they wanted to return it, they hated it, etc., etc. after they found out the guys who "played" Milli Vanilli in the media weren't really the people singing. That makes no sense to me. If you like how music sounds, how can you suddenly dislike how it sounds because the people you thought were singing it turn out to be fakes? Now, I can totally understand reassessing the "talent" of the musicians you have now determined to be lipsyncers, or reassessing the ethics of all of those involved in the act and their music... But if you liked how the music itself sounded I just cannot see how finding out it's someone else singing would deteriorate its quality at all.

Anyway, that was just a pointless ramble of mine, but that's just something that has always bothered me about the whole Milli Vanilli debacle.
