50. Voicing approval for George Bush over Al Gore in 2000.
Yes, I'm embarrassed to admit it. My colleague at work told me that all he was itching to do was to start a war and that he was a warmonger. She was right.

My alibi was that I wasn't that politically motivated in 2000, I had just come to the US in 1999, so I was getting to learn about things and the way they work over here. Unfortunately I have learned about them during the most corrupt government that I have ever lived under. Margaret Thatcher is positively liberal compared to Bush Jr, even this bluest of blue Conservatives has criticized Tony Blair for taking the UK to war in Iraq over flawed evidence.

I may not agree with her politics but I do agree with Thatcher's ethics: "I was a scientist before I was a politician. And as a scientist I know you need facts, evidence and proof - and then you check, recheck and check again." Something this nasty administration has never appeared to have done.
