So tonight, all of you putting up with my shenigans is so much appreciated because all I really want to do is crawl into the fetal position and cry my eyes out.

My father was the absolute love of my life. The first time I ever voted was thanks to him (I was only 10 but he let me pull the lever for Jimmy Carter). Twenty-five years ago today I my father died of lung cancer. I loved him more than life itself but no matter how much we bugged him he couldn't give up smoking. He finally quit when cancer took him away from the family who loved him.

My father was so adventurous, he'd not only try anything once but he would encourage me to go out there and try myself even if by chance I might fail. Because failure to him was never trying in the first place. But even when he pushed to hard, I always had my mother to curb me back in. She was his Ying to his Yang.

I would live the rest of this lifetime under the Bush Regime just to have another five minutes back with him. I miss him so much. He made me think for myself back when girls were only suppose to grow up and find a man to take care of them.

I love you dad, I know you're there watching over me and everyday I wish you were here next to me!!
