My daughter had a four-year snail mail correspondence with a writer in England. When she finally confessed to him that she hadn't sent a photo because she was overweight, he sent her a box of chocolates and a photograph of a Reubens painting. They married when she was 40 and still overweight, live in Yorkshire now, have two young sons.
