39. The OP said nothing about drug dealing. She's disturbed that the pollution from her landlord's pot

smoking has infiltrated her new place and made it stinky. The civil and ethical thing to do is talk to the landlord. A true inujustice would be having the cops raid the landlord's place, possibly placing the OP in physical danger (given how many drug raids go awry). There is absolutely no evidence in the OP that a criminal "enterprise" exists; an enterprise would entail a risky, daring or difficult activity or a unit of economic activity. There's nothing particularly "risky, daring or difficult" about smoking pot in the privacy of your own home; the risk element enters the picture when the effects abridge Lady Freedom's right to live in a smoke-free environment, for which she is paying rent. Further, the OP did not imply that she suspected any economic activity related to the landlord's pot smoking. She's complaining about the smell invading her own apartment. datasuspect and you have gotten into such a pissin' match that you're ignoring the OP entirely.

I seriously can't believe that you, Deep13, a person I know and respect as rational, would call the cops before attempting a civil discussion with the landlord, a discussion I rationally suspect might be effective, since the pot smoker is a landlord who has much to lose from being suspected of or busted for breaking the law.

Respectfully submitted,

Heidi (not a pot smoker -- just a rational person)
