8. Interesting.
If I had owned land on which one of these were located, I would have been really tempted to buy it back when it was decommissioned. I've never been in a Titan silo. Have seen a few more recent ones - the sort that will never be sold due to treaty obligations to destroy them once decommissioned. Amazing stuff, on so many levels. Pun intended.

I have heard of one guy who has a larger facility that he has converted into a commercial mushroom farm - the underground temperatures are, apparently, nearly ideal for that. Not sure what else you could do with one - the world's largest wine cellar, perhaps, or a really secure storage facility for archived electronic data. Otherwise, I guess they are just a plaything for well-heeled eccentrics ....
