8. Ok, they still know how to put on a GREAT show. Tight band, great over the top
stage and the loudest I've ever seen U2 play.

Great set list I think playing at least one song from every album, even a short refrain from October 'Rejoice' which hardly anyone seemed to recognize.

But. The sound was off. First half Bono's voice and the Edge's guitar seems too low in the mix. Second half it was if them toyed with Bono's mic and he sounded kinda like Micky Mouse.

And for long time U2 fans (I had Boy and October on cassette as a teenager and saw them first in like 83) it's just not the same. I know, I know, things change. But back then the concerts were more intimate, the audience understood what the songs were about, and the songs were about something. When you have NJ meatheads in front and in back of you high fiving each other during Pride, it kinda makes you go, wtf? Do you know what this song is about? I remember walking out of the concert, all the way to the cars with the entire audience singing '40', it was an experience.

Yeah, I'm an old cranky bastard now. For me though, U2 was more than a stadium rock band and although the show was great, it just wasn't the same.
