Looking like Obama is on the path to the Nom.... [View All]

.... and so here is where I'll cast my voice to the people and see if I can take some of your time to see if some sort of resolution can be had.

I am a hard working, proud man (color doesn't matter) who worked very hard to be where I am today. Worked myself through college to break out of the 'mold' society puts one in due to race, gender, religion, etc. And not once, have I never asked for a handout, never lied to any members of my family and friends and respected every person that indeeds deserves it, always did my best to help anyone in need (because I know what it feels like, I lived it myself) and have decided to lean toward Obama.

But what exactly does Obama stand for?

I have yet to hear him say specifically about what he plans or would like to do for the people who elect him. What is he going to do for the homeless, for the children, for the elderly. What is he going to do for minorities, women.
He wants to bring home the soldiers from Iraq, what is he going to do for them? What is he going to do for the current veterans that have already served this nation?
I am not hearing any specifications. All I am hearing is him calling for new HOPE and CHANGE. Hope for what? He is definitely someone who has the gift of gab but not substance? Change to what? A nation of words without action. I cannot believe so many people have bought into this without really asking any pertinent question about the specificities of his plans to lead our nation out of the shadows of deceptions back into the beacon of light of Democracy our great country was founded and built on.

Make OBAMA spell out exactly what he plans to do. Make him promise and then, keep his promise to help give us the reason for new HOPE by the CHANGES that he will introduce. Words will not and cannot be the sole reason for electing ANY individual. We need an active leader not a figure head with a mouthful words that in reality mean absolutely nothing.

For him to really pull me in, he needs to tell me what his plan of action will be? How will he address the NEW challenges that lay ahead for all of us as well as the PRESENT conundrum that * and his rabid lemmings have left behind?

I truly do not want a Republican back in the White House. I know I'm only an Independent but my voice matters just as much as my Democrat constituents that proliferate on DU.

Let us all hope and pray that finally, our voices will be lifted out of obscurity and we ALL come together again as a Nation of Free People, willing to stand side by side united in the face of the troubled roads that now lie ahead of us....
