10. Legacy, Legacy, Legacy...
Depends on how bad Bunnypants loses. If it's decisive, then he's gonna be the Hoover of our lifetime...or worse. The media will start to finally tear down the past 4 years for the failure it was and the historians will write the final words about the economic and political "age of fear" that will rival those of McCarthy in the 50's and the Red Scare of the 20's.

I don't think we realize how far to the right this country moved and how fast over the past 4 years...there's a lot of people who haven't realized how far over things are and once they do, there's gonna be some 'splainin' to do.

The last piece of the Bunnypants legacy is Iraq...and the Bush family for that matter. The longer this quagmire drags on, the deeper the stain is on the Bush family, just like Vietnam stained Johnson. If this war ends with a retreat or military defeat, that will seal the Bush legacy...Poppy got us into the mess, Junior got us stuck in deeper...the view of two failed monarchists.

Plus, the Bush family has expended a lot of political capital to gain power and keep it. They're running out of bullets. They can't buy the people they used to, since these people have power ideas of their own.

The fun will be the infighting that's inevitable in many factions of the GOOP...not unlike what many of us saw within the Democratic party of the 70's.

Cheers!
