Did anyone else find that as ridiculous as I did?

I mean Bush gave the Pope a medal. The Pope.

I imagine Bush saying something stupid and arrogant, something like,

"Good job, your holiness. Keep on Popeing. Here is this metal. It is a very high honor to receive this metal from the great and powerful and important President of the United States. Now could ya please lay off that anti-war crap - it's hurting me in the polls."
