8. The Dems abandonned common sense
and all instinct for survival somewhere along the line. The stony silence among the Democratic leadership from 2000 on has made penetrating less friendly walls impossible. All advances have been deflected, minimized played off against HAVA. Attempts underway to improve HAVA I am sure are models of quiet legislation that will never see the light of day agian if the Repugs block this as they have all other Dem efforts.

We have no loud and unified political leadership- THOSE MOST AT RISK- on the simplest matters of logic and disinformation. The captains do not listen to us explaining how the ship is sinking and as crazy as that sounds it is not an uncommon phenomenon.

The grass roots knowledge is successful to the point of discouraging those who cannot effect change and encouraging the thieving minority to more brazen efforts. Eventually we could win, but eventually is too late once internet voting is added to the witches' brew. All intention is focussed on us "critics" and glitches and teeneybopper hackers, not the systemic destruction of democracy for the "advances" of comfortable high tech glamor machines.

Candidates heavily invested in primaries are most at risk(Janet Reno affair) and supposedly walking into the noose, deaf, dumb and blind. We are just lucky they can't rig it for Lieberman.
