I think a very important matter to focus on the media... i'm harping on this again, as i have in recent threads, particularly during this Alito Confirmation issue. Last week I spent time and labor in writing what I thought was a well reasoned and passionate plea for du members to incorporate media activism along with efforts in trying to recruit and support progressive candidates for future elections. It got a little attention but it disappeared in less than a day i think. So a better more articulate writer needs to make the same or similar attempt with hopefully more positive impact and better results.

The fact continues to remain, that nearly every week the Bush Regime has been in power for the past five years, an impeachable offense had been revealed in the print media, papers of record - the New York Times and the Washington Post along with others. - Yet these stories are rarely if ever amplified in the cable and broadcast news shows on television or radio.

In the final analysis, so long as this state of affairs with regard to the media continues, no matter how righteous the cause, the candidate or serious the issue, we will never win until this problem is adequately addressed.
