10. The urge to manipulate and avoid being manipulated,
to dominate and avoid being dominated, to intimidate and avoid being intimidated, is very likely one of those human things that we are stuck with and will have to spend a considerable amount of each of our lives trying to discourage.
It mostly depends on who is on the receiving end, as I've seen the most valiant and staunch defenders of self determination, when faced with the proper situation, turn into outright harridans-the very epitome of the types they had fought so long against. It is a human frailty we must constantly be on guard against, in ourselves as well as in others.
