The southern racists are entirely members of the GOP.
A few, I am ashamed to admit, are members of my family.
To a man, the racists I have met are old, obese men who drink too much.
Most of them vote, and most of them do so with their racist drinking buddies.

None of these men would ever--ever--ever vote for a democrat.
While everything that can be done to correct them should be done,
there is no sense in pandering to their politics.
They are a miniature dying minority of southern whites,
who also require a better example.
