6. Do not underestimate McCain
If the Dem nominee was already definite, he wouldn't stand a chance. But the longer they go without a nominee, McLame starts looking good, especially to people who really don't read up on the news or know much in the way of details (which I think is a good percentage of the population). And he always get a free pass from the press. Lobbyist problem? Broke campaign finance laws? 100 more years of Iraq? No problem. He invites the reporters to barbecues and they don't write about anything negative.
