16. Doubt it, but say it again I will.
I was born and raised in cracker country. I live (and have lived for years) in a place that is a strange mix of resident crackers and weekender "tourists". (I had a neighbor who used to invite me to KKK gatherings --- and, no, I didn't go --- but neither did I call the FIB.) I also used to be a repug (God please forgive me). All of these things (and more) give me some insight into the mind of the "cracker" vote.

It hurts me to say these words --- but there are many people who might otherwise vote Democrat (gun-loving Democrat anyway) who would never vote to put a (an unconverted) Jew one heartbeat away from the presidency.

Sad but true. Like the Porter Wagoner song: "Cold Hard Facts of Life", (which I am playing in your honor --- although only the title and a single line are relevant), it's just the way people are.

"Who taught who the cold, hard facts of life."

H-ll, I don't know --- but we better learn them, if we are to defeat these evil men.
