It's the damned four or eight years that are going to make your kids world one of hell or hope.

Sorry, but the means justify the ends, he (or anyone) needs to remain vague and move to the center in order to win among all voters.

He's not running for the democraticunderground vote.

I'd love if a candidate could run a purity campaign and still win.

Unfortunately, we are working with common voters, uninformed, low information voters.

You're all smarter than to think he can win without making compromises.

Now, after he's inaugurated I will join you in every reasonable and legal effort to keep him to his word, but he must first defeat McCain.
