If the assistant principal quoted in the above-linked article is correct, I'm curious as to why she would have left her family and all of her friends, in the middle of her junior year, to transfer to a high school that's more than 40 miles away from Wasilla. Did she need to be near a larger city hospital that had a NICU? Was baby Trig born earlier than reported?

As for Sarah, it just doesn't make sense that a 44-year old woman with a history of four previous pregnancies would travel many hours by plane, after an amniotic fluid leak, then drive another 40 miles to a hospital without a NICU to deliver a premature, high risk baby. Had the baby already been born and his health stabilized by April 18? When she announced her pregnancy on March 8, was it after the baby had been born and it was clear that he would survive?
