Hillary ramps up

An aide to Hillary Clinton says she's ramping up her push for Obama in coming days.

Clinton is heading Saturday to Flint, Lansing, and Grand Rapids, Mich., for a trip aimed at "talking about Obama's leadership on the economy," the aide said. She also did a round of morning shows yesterday, making the same points.

She's also scheduling trips on Obama's behalf to Pennsylvania, California, and Chicago; she's raised $5 million for the nominee in a series of events and conference calls, her camp says.

She also has a volunteer program starting up in New Hampshire on Saturday, under the rubric "Hillary Sent Me," and the aide said "thousands" across the country have signed up to participate nationally.

Clinton is evidently doing everything Obama's asked her to, and more or less put to rest the notion that she'd be a publicly reluctant supporter.
