White Republicanism in Georgia is a relatively new thing. Even though Georgia voted for Reagan and both Bushes, the state still had Democratic governors until we got Perdue courtesy of Diebold in 2002.

There are lots of working class whites here who think of Republicans as a bunch of crooked, rich assholes.
