Like a duck. Right now, as far as I can tell, a duck is the only animal that fits this description. But if you can find another animal that fits this description, I'll accept it."

He's not backing down from a public option. He's looking reasonable and willing to compromise, but in the end, he knows, they won't be able to present him with another animal.

Right now is the time for the BIG PUSH. This whole thing has been timed perfectly. The Repubs have blown their wad WAAAAY early and showed their hand, now Obama comes out w/ the big guns, but don't expect him to be an obnoxious jerk who is OBVIOUSLY ramming his agenda down everyone's throats, that's not his style. He's more subtle. And effective.
