I want all of that money and energy put into the good of the country and its people - health care, education, housing, public transportation, renewable energy, art, the environment... I know that the position I am taking is one that would be best in a real democracy, where peace is our main export, but that is how it should be. Something in our situation has to give. We protest, and picket, and write, and give money, and the government laughs at us and kills more children. We fight and argue and go to the polls and our government laughs at us and kills more children. We have to get to a place where we can break this dynamic, where something different happens. Maybe I am grasping at straws, but a straw to a drowning man can sometimes appear as the trunk of a tree.

Never stop fighting, never give up...
