199. Here's the deal though...
Two things:

1) Chavez may be of questionable character; the guy wants to be a permanent leader ike Fidel, etc. But who has he invaded in the name of "pre-emptive" defense of Venezuela? How has he institutionalized torture, or tried to redefine the Geneva convention? The ugly fact is that what is going on in America under the Bush administration morally inferior to anything Chavez has done. And that is what creates this sad state of affairs: People are clapping for the dropout in a two piece suit because he's better than our vegitative imbecile in a three piece suit.
2) The OP DOES represent the majority of Dems. Maybe you work in the party, and see the inner workings of things, but I don't. Most of us don't What we see is liars on TV endlessly smashing liberals and dems as effeminate, flip flopping weaklings who cannot be trusted with government in a time of war...then we see Democrats spinelessly appeasing and compromising endlessly, and being called "flip-floppers" for doing so. We need to ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK. When we do this, then the American people will see we have enough spine to protect them from terror and deal with war.
3) Thanks for posting. Diverse opinions make us who we are, glad you piped up! :)
