Picking YOU apart? LOL That makes it seem like you are some victim or were innocently requesting why this name has gained in popularity. But we know that's not the case. It wasn't a curiosity you offered, it was a criticism. If you had asked it out of innocent curiosity I wouldn't have responded in such a way. But you were blatantly criticizing and picking apart people who named their kids Avery, including your daughter's friend's parents, because you had an inaccurate impression that the name was invented by the label company. That's why I chose to respond in their defense.

Furthermore, did you not even click on the link I supplied you with in order for you to be more informed on the matter? If you had, you'd see that the popularity of the name Avery is not really one to be considered recent, since it has remained quite steady in its popularity over the last 13 years and has basically been within the top 800 US names for over the last 100 years.
