...especially out in California. This is their governor and the man they may re-elect. He was a pig in 1979 and he's a pig in 2006.

I wonder what the people in that photo might have to say about him--both Patty Pierce, the woman he publicly degraded, and Susan Anderson, the helpful leg holder and now divorced wife of that Tucson bar owner. A check of the records indicates that she and Jim Anderson were still married as of 1986 (she was named as a co-defendant in a case against their bar) but a Susan Anderson divorced a James Anderson, in 1988. As for Patty Pierce, that's a little more difficult. There are a number of them in Tucson. One Superior Court entry is interesting, though. It shows either that a Patricia Ruth Pierce changed her name to Winnie Ruth Duncan or vice versa, on May 28, 1998.

Hmm...

By the way, I remember seeing Arnold walking out of the Tucson Doubletree Hotel in 1979. We were going in for a meal with my father, who was visiting, at the time. I know it was 1979 because I remember my then 5-year old son complaining that he didn't want a booster chair, and my now ex-husband saying that Arnold's last name meant "Black Black." Just one of those funny memories, I guess.
