Getting on AF1 and scampering all over the country, no doubt paralyzed with fear for his own worthless hide, and not showing up for so long that even the obedient press felt obliged to mention, albeit timidly, that perhaps it would be nice for the president to make a statement, or do SOMETHING.

Well, as a lowly citizen, I could have done the same things, but like to think that I would have had the intelligence to take charge of the situation without having to be tranquilized and prepped to talk to the country.
