24. What would Martin have done?
Somewhere on one of those shows yesterday the Rev. Lowery was asked if he thought that MLK or Coretta would have chosen that occasion - eulogy at a funeral - to bring up the things that the right has gone ballistic about. He basically did an 'Al Gonzales' and avoided answering, but I won't...Martin Luther King would have not only taken the opportunity to blister the man most responsible for the current crap facing our country, he probably would have turned around and pointed at the bastard. Coretta, on the other hand, probably wouldn't have...perhaps that she wouldn't have been as confrontational, but more likely because she, and the entire King Center folks, rely on the Fed - through the National Parks Service - to keep the Center afloat and we all know what happens to folks that piss off geedubya and that wife of his. It's sad, but it's the reality, once you start to take the money it's hard to let go. If they had independent sources - and they probably could have developed them along the way - then having to be polite to this bunch of greedy bastards would never have been necessary.

Rev. Lowery and Jimmy Carter don't owe them a damn thing...now Bill Clinton has his hand so far into the cookie jar that he'll never again take pot shots at them...like another son to GHWB, good God, have you no shame 'Willie'?
