I don't see a timeframe, but that's not important. The more significant timeframe is that this is Cheney talking TODAY. There's no reason to believe a damn thing he's saying at this point.

(And again, his reasons for supposedly making a *decision* for Armstrong to call the local paper are just absurd!! And I love this: "She had trouble that morning actually finding a reporter." Hah!! It doesn't take much to find a NATIONAL reporter for a story like this, and there was NO reason the VP's office would want it released to a local paper first. And the head-scratching media KNOWS that!)
