American media does not challenge authority.

Robert Fisk, long time Middle East reporter, said today, on Democracy now, that the American Media does not challenge authority. They may go and take a timid kick at it, if it's down on the ground.

He also talked about how, when you read major articles in major newspapers, you will contently see the words, 'American intelligence officials said'. In other words, most media outlets are not reporting. They are basically taking whatever comes from the governmemnt, puts it out there, and calls it reporting.

How true! The media in America, has more or less, become a propaganda organ for the executive branch.
