150. Understand your frustration. Yet I think the Speaker's job is to see that actions in the House have
a chance to move on to the Senate and the White House. Could she be more cutting edge? Definitely. Could she be more progressive? Yes.

Does she have to hold together a coalition of a couple of hundred Dems to move an agenda forward? Yes.

A more effective approach, I think, is to lobby House members in committee to press their case with the Speaker, work to get an agenda on the floor.

And press the Speaker to hear those issues you feel are important.

LBJ was an incredibly effective Speaker, in his manner, yet he worked with a majority in both Houses and a Democratic White House. And it took him some time, as strong arm a leader as he was.

I favor giving her time to build the coalitions within the House we need to move an agenda up the chain.
