8. Obama's people have been misquoting Hill on this one..

She never said she wouldn't talk to anybody, as in engaging in diplomacy. She just said it was a bit naive to make promises about getting said dictators to the table in the first year, face to face. It's about as realistic as Bush Sr's No New Taxes pledge.

Obama shouldn't make promises he probably can't keep. Hillary is for talking to those guys, she just is realistic about how difficult it will be to get the other guys to cooperate.
