Stick a fork in Karl Rove, he's done.

I saw nothing on his Sunday talk show tour that was new, some new revelation or epiphany. There was nothing for the right wing to rally around, for example some sweeping talking point that was going to start a "Republican surge". I sense a lot of people on the right expected a lot more from their so called hero.

I saw absolutely nothing from him that was even troubling moving forward for us, because all his talking points have lost their power, they just don't stick anymore.

I did see Cooper contradict him.

From Think Progress:

"Appearing on Meet The Press today, Matthew Cooper, one of the reporters to whom Rove spoke about Plame, said Rove’s version of the story was hard to believe. “I think he was dissembling to put it charitably,” said Cooper. “To imply that he didn’t know about , or that he heard it in some rumor out in the hallways, is nonsense.”

Cooper also contradicted Rove’s characterization of their conversation, describing the “essence” of it as much more than just an attempt to wave him off the story:

Look, Karl Rove told me about Valerie Plame’s identity on July 11, 2003. I called him because Ambassador Wilson was in the news that week. I didn’t know Ambassador Wilson even had a wife until I talked to Karl Rove and he said that she worked at the agency and she worked on WMD."

And he thinks Hillary has high negative. Wow, he dove head first into 2005 with that one. We've been saying that for years. Oh and bash Joe Wilson?....WHo would have thunk that?

I saw someone who was not the "genius" at all, his so-called genius was he was willing to go lower than anyone before him. What would one call that....morally bankrupt? The end justified the means, and now Bush has been in the cellar for years because of those means. I would call that shallow minded, stubborn stupidity.

The next election is not going to be won by dividing and conquering. We all live on that scorched earth and neither side enjoys it very much. Bush and his partisan hit squad of Senators, Congressmen and pundits all made their bed and are stuck sleeping in it.

I would call his Sunday morning tour a complete failure. There's nothing fresh, exciting or new for the righties to talk about tomorrow.

Goodbye Karl. The door hit you on your way out.
