Thanks Viva for once again, just like clockwork, posting this schedule.

Two items caught my eye:

Competing with 60 Minutes tonight, the first item is my favorite law professor David Cole's book talk, "Less Safe, Less Free: Why America Is Losing the War on Terror" ( http://www.booktv.org/program.aspx?ProgramId=8678&SectionName=&PlayMedia=No ).

And being rebroadcast afterward at 10 pm is former Clarence Thomas law clerk Laura Ingraham's September 20th book talk on "Power to the People". There's absolutely no policy analysis in it, but much macabre talk about "making your life matter" by focusing on what Ingraham considers the two most important issues of our time: (1) "enforcing our borders" and (2) "standing up for the most vulnerable".

Who are "the most vulnerable"? Children whose health coverage Dubya has vowed to veto? No-- Ingraham says they are THE UNBORN!

From what I could gather from her rambling, stream-of-consciousness public near-breakdown, her mother's death and her own brush with cancer have unfortunately redoubled her desire to "make her life matter" by peddling mindless ultraright twaddle.

IMO you won't be able to turn it off once you start watching or streaming it (at http://www.booktv.org/program.aspx?ProgramId=8662&SectionName=&PlayMedia=No ).
