We need trained people on the ground, and we need them yesterday... and many countries would gladly send them, we just need to "cry uncle." But we are "too proud."

I can't do more than tell them what they need and give money to the organizations, (local or national) that are on the ground

As to this being by design, absolutely it is by design... and it does not matter where the disaster happens, they will abandon those on the ground.. it is the only way to get the conditions just right for disaster capitalism
